Chris Mahoney

A PERSONAL REMEMBRANCE

The newsroom, brought into the classroom.

Rob remembers Chris Mahoney as an influential professor at Emerson.

Emerson’s January 2014 obituary records Mahoney’s teaching in its Journalism Department from 2008 to 2012. An Emerson graduate himself, he brought a working journalist’s experience to those classes.

He spent more than fourteen years as a reporter and editor at the Boston Business Journal before moving to the Baltimore Business Journal in 2012. Emerson’s tribute remembers his professionalism and warmth with students. He died at 46.
